NM Nutrition LEEP
Leadership Education Excellence in Pediatrics

leeplogo The Nutrition/Dietetics Program at the University of New Mexico received a five year grant (# T79 MC 00027) from July 1, 2003 through June 30, 2008 from the Maternal and Child Health Bureau , Health Resources and Services Administration,  United States Department of Health and Human Services . New Mexico Nutrition LEEP collaborates with New Mexico LEND Program (Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities) in the goal of improving the nutritional health of children and women.

two year COMBINED PROGRAM
GRADUATE DEGREE and DIETETIC INTERNSHIP

Through the New Mexico Nutrition LEEP grant, UNM has offered a two -year option that combines the MS Degree in Nutrition with the Dietetic Internship. This innovative and competitive program offers expertise in pediatric nutrition, leadership and cultural competence as well as financial support through stipend and tuition assistance.
NOTE: The combined program (Track II of the UNM Dietetic Internship, is NOT available for 2008-2009.
